Realizing the potential of legacy suicide, it is no surprise as Coach Bill Belichick announced he will decline to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Donald Trump this week. "Recently I was offered the opportunity to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which I was flattered by out of respect to what the honor represents," Belichick said. "Subsequently the tragic events of last week occurred and the decision has been made not to move forward with the award."
Belichick noted being an American citizen with great reverence towards value freedom and democracy as well as representing his family and the New England Patriots organization.
Belichick and Patriots owner Robert Kraft have been known supporters of the outgoing, Belichick stated his support in a letter to Trump during the 2016 Presidential campaign.
