Vincent Jackson, a three-time All-Pro wide receiver with the San Diego Chargers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was found dead inside a suburban Tampa hotel room on Monday. The sheriff's department announced that his body showed no signs of trauma. Jackson was 38 years old. The son of two military veterans, Jackson excelled in both the classroom and on the athletic field growing up. He starred in both football and basketball at the University of Northern Colorado. Jackson was drafted in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft and played 12 seasons in the league. Married with three children, Jackson had stayed at the hotel since January 11. He was reported missing by family last week, but later found safe by police. Both the Chargers and Buccaneers organizations issued statements mourning Jackson's unexpected passing. Throughout his career Jackson was lauded for his charitable endeavors including providing support for military families.
