GOOD GRIEF: Peanuts Characters Ejected From Target Field

For the Minnesota Twins Friday doubleheader v. Detroit, the cut-out 'fans' behind home plate featured Peanuts characters.

However in the bottom of third inning of Game 2, the Tigers (playing as the 'home' team due to a previous rainout) scored two runs and a misplay in the field allowed Detroit to continue the inning. The Twins staff at Target Field quickly determined the guilty parties.

As can be seen, Charlie Brown, Schroeder, Franklin, Peppermint Patty, Sally, Lucy van Pelt, Snoopy and even Woodstock had become AWOL. It was soon announced why the gang disappeared.

That is a Twins employee escorting the iconic cartoon characters out of the premium seats. Drick Bremer told the television audience that the cutouts had caused excessive glare in the previous inning. What a way to give them the Bartman treatment in their hometown. It was not like Pig Pen and his bad hygiene made an appearance.
