Patriots cornerback and reigning Defensive Player of the Year Stephon Gilmore tests positive for Covid, team suspends practice, says scheduled game v. Denver on Sunday still on - for now.
Gilmore also embraced Patrick Mahomes following Monday night's game in Kansas City, which could conceivably put Mahomes on the Covid list.
In other news, after two clean days, two more Tennessee Titans players test positive, that brings the organization's total to 22 since Sept. 24, the Titans scheduled game in Buffalo is now doubtful at best. Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle Maurice Hurst has been added to the Reserve/Covid-19 list. Considering the actions of players in recent days, a Raiders outbreak would be as shocking as the White House outbreak. Later in the day, it was announced a second player had tested positive.
The Raiders still practiced Wednesday and the team is scheduled to play at Kansas City on Sunday.
