As reported by Alpha News A.J. Kaufman, the Food and Drug Association approves Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccine for emergency use. It is expected to be rolled out for health care workers and nursing homes in the coming days.
The United States joins countries such as Canada, Great Britain and Mexico to approve the vaccine. The announcement was planned Saturday, but FDA commissioner Stephen Hahn was ordered by the White House to submit his resignation Friday unless emergency approval granted. The past two days alone the United States eclipsed more grim milestones, 300,000 deaths and more than 16 million cases. After eclipsing 100,000 cases in a day for the first time Oct. 30, 246,530 cases were reported Friday per Worldometer, more than 37,000 in California alone.
