Chattanooga Football Assistant Fired For Stacey Abrams Post

University of Tennessee-Chattanooga offensive line coach Chris Malone fired Thursday, two days after derogatory comments made on anti-social media towards former House of Representatives member and activist Stacey Abrams.

His later deleted Twitter post read as follows... "Congratulations to Georgia and Fat Albert @staceyabrams because you have truly shown the true works in cheating in an election, again! Enjoy the buffet Big Girl! You earned it! Hope the money was good, still not governor!" A one-time player for Virginia Tech, Malone has previously coached at the University of Massachusetts, Virginia State University (A historically Black college) and Old Dominion University. Malone's bio page on the UTC website was quickly removed. Abrams narrowly lost her bid to become Georgia's governor in 2018, and intends to run again in 2022. Her efforts in building the states Democratic political infrastructure culminating in the Senate nominations of Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock this week.
