James Harden Gets His Wish: Traded To Brooklyn


Less than 24 hours after mailing it in during a blowout loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, James Harden gets his wish - reportedly traded to the Brooklyn Nets in a four-team deal that also involves the Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers. Pending approval, Harden joins one-time teammate Kevin Durant along with point guard Kyrie Irving, who has been AWOL himself most of the season. Likewise disgruntled Victor Oladipo goes to Houston along with Dante Exum. The Pacers get Caris LeVert while Cleveland gets Jarrett Allen and Taurean Prince. Houston and Brooklyn will also swap future draft picks. More proof inmates run the asylum, on paper the Nets become Eastern Conference favorites. On paper. In other news three NBA contests have been scrapped tonight as the league's rank and file continue to struggle with meeting league mandates. The postponed games include Orlando at Boston, Utah at Washington and Atlanta at Phoenix. Zion Williamson will also miss New Orleans game at the Clippers due to protocols.
