Not long after hitting his 300th career home run Saturday night, MLB posted a 60-second video with all 300, or five each second. What is amazing is Trout's appearance has not changed much in the past nine years, perhaps a change will be more seen if he's still playing in 2030. Obviously Trout has spent his entire time with the Angels, who have had the same primary home/road/alternate jersey look since 2002. A quick screenshot chronology... Home run No. 1 came as a 19-year old in his 42nd plate appearance in Baltimore on July 24, 2011. Trout batted eighth, the Angels won 9-3 and the time of game was a swift 2 hours, 29 minutes.
Trout's lone 2011 home run in Anaheim came on August 15 v. the Orioles, as part of team's 50th anniversary they sported their circa-1995 jerseys that night. Trout finished the year with a modest .220 batting average and five home runs. The following year the advertiser behind home plate changed from Budweiser to State Farm, which remains to this day.
Number 14 came against the Blue Jays on Canada Day, July 1, 2012. Easy to recognize. Trout has done a lot of damage in Toronto over the years.
Another fun fact, Trout stole 49 bases his first full season.
Home run No. 63 came on March 31, 2014, the Angels opening game v. Seattle, but Trout is seen here wearing a batting practice jersey. Further research reveals the Angels wore their regular home whites - here is Trout with that actual home run. The blue of the opposing catcher suggests this was possibly from an exhibition game v. the Dodgers days earlier.
July 7-8, 2015 at Colorado. Trout fattens up to the tune of 3 HR, 5 RBI in the two-game set.
Huge weekend in Minnesota, September, 2015
In Milwaukee, May 2 and 4, 2016. Easy to pick out, South Dakota tourism was an ad sponsor at Miller Park that year.
Chilly afternoon in Kansas City, April 14, 2018. In recent years Trout's shin guard protection has become more prominent.
June 11-12, 2018 in Seattle, four HR in two days, including a 459-foot blast.
August 27, 2018 - Trout goes deep on his 27th birthday as the team wore 1970s-era throwbacks.
June 19, 2019 - Trout crushes two home runs, including a grand slam in a 7-RBI game at Toronto.
In an eight-game span that followed the death of pitcher Tyler Skaggs, Trout hit 7 home runs and 18 RBI. Included in that stretch was this 454-foot bomb on the first pitch he saw on July 12, the team's first home game after the tragedy. The Angels won 13-0 as the pitching staff recorded a no-hitter.
August 16, 2019 - Trout homers as the team again wears throwbacks. Note the McAuliffe number font, associated with the Boston Red Sox. The McAuliffe Uniform Corp produced uniforms for MLB teams during the 1960s/1970s.
Trout's first home run of 2020, evidenced by the cutouts.
