Legendary pitcher Jack Morris became the latest casualty of cancel culture earlier this week after he was indefinitely suspended by Bally Sports Detroit after his accented commentary towards Los Angeles Angels superstar Shohei Ohtani led to social media backlash. Morris's attempt at an apology later in the game was predictably brushed aside as empty and tone-deaf by the media. Others perceived Morris's commentary as that as an old school player not happy with the current direction of Major League Baseball. Interestingly enough, one person not angry is Shohei Ohtani. "I did see the footage and I heard it", Ohtani said through an interpreter. "I am not offended and did not take anything personally. He is a Hall of Famer and a big influence on the baseball world." None of this matters in the critical race theory witch-hunt. It is said Morris will remain suspended from his broadcasting gigs until he undergoes sensitivity training and gets educated on the musings of Dr. Robin DiAngelo. Or at age 66, Morris decides he has enough endeavors on his plate to step away from broadcasting and head for his fishing and hunting spots.
