MMA fighters speak out against Covington during a media session for UFC 253. Woodley used his pre-fight platform to advocate BLM. Covington also called out rival Kamaru Unman in the post-fight interview.
UFC sponsors such as Reebok, Monster Energy and DoorDash all released statements distancing themselves from Covington. A former wrestler at Oregon State University with a degree in sociology, Covington has been known as a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump.
