Utah State Fires Gary Andersen After 0-3 Start
Andersen's head coaching resume spirals downhill, let go by Utah State after 34-9 loss to Nevada that dropped the Aggies to 0-3 on the season.
Andersen had success in his first stint at USU from 2009-12 before coaching Wisconsin for two seasons. Andersen left the Badgers program for Oregon in part due to his frustration with UW's admission standards. After a disastrous 7-23 mark in two and a half years at OSU, Andersen returned as Utah State's HC last year. The team was a mild disappointment in 2019, finishing 7-6 with quarterback Jordan Love.
