MLB Has-Been Yasiel Puig Sued, Denies Allegation

Puig alleged by woman of sexual battery in Staples Center bathroom during Los Angeles Lakers game the former Dodgers outfielder attended on Oct. 31, 2018. The accusation has been denied by Puig's attorney.

Documents indicate Puig pinned the woman with one arm, used the other to expose himself and eventually ejaculate. Under California Code of Civil Procedure CCP 335.1 there is a two-year statute of limitations for cases of assault, battery, injury and/or death in the case of wrongful actions or neglect to others. In February 2018 the Wasserman Media Group dropped Puig as a client, citing behavior the agency could not accept. In 2017 Puig hit 28 home runs with an .833 OPS, and effectively eliminated the Milwaukee Brewers with a three-run blast in Game 7 of the National League Championship Series.
